Willem has been a consultant with Open Analytics for 5 years. During which he has been involved in many different parts of data analysis, from analysing clinical trial data to building a big database to store genetic data. He is also very interested in GPU computing, and has written ROpenCL to support that. His latest package Rango has been developed to make object oriented database interaction possible in R. Both the Rango package and the ROpenCL package have been presented at UseR meetings.
